A Comprehensive Toolkit Is At Your Disposal

To help you embark on a fun-filled healthy adventure with your students, the Screen Smart! program includes the following tools:

Teacher’s Resource Guide: one activity per day, for five days, for students from kindergarten to grade 3 and for ten days for students from grades 4 to 6.

For an overview of the Resource Guide, please have at the Overview section.

A passport for grade 4 students and student workbooks for grades 5 and 6.

Certificates for all students who participate in the program’s activities.

Example of a healthy lifestyle graph for all grade levels.

Poster promoting the one-week Screen Smart! challenge in the school.

For families: a sample notice for parents to inform them of the program and its activities, to help them support their children in their efforts to reduce screen time at home.

This turnkey program was adapted by The Heart and Stroke Foundation for distribution in the province of Québec. The Heart and Stroke Foundation, a volunteer-based health charity, leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke and reducing their impacts by:

  •    Preventing disease (e.g. give children and youth the best start for a long, healthy life)
  •    Saving lives (e.g. enable faster, better cardiac emergency response and treatment)
  •    Promoting recovery (e.g. enhance support for survivors, families and caregivers)
