Emmanuelle Dumoulin

Emmanuelle Dumoulin is a nutritionist and a project coordinator in Health promotion at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Québec. She is involved in the promotion of the Screen Smart! program, which was developed thanks to financial contributions from Health Canada, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Thanks to these financial partners, a new project was created in 2015. Healthy Beginnings for Preschoolers 2-5 is a program geared to early childhood educators and contains two manuals designed to foster healthy environments. Visit the program’s website at healthybeginningspreschoolers.ca.

Christine Roherty

Christine Roherty is a nutritionist and a manager in Health promotion at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, New Brunswick. Part of her role consists in promoting Sip Smart!TM for grade 4 students and Screen Smart! in the province’s After School program.

This turnkey program was adapted by The Heart and Stroke Foundation for distribution in the province of Québec. The Heart and Stroke Foundation, a volunteer-based health charity, leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke and reducing their impacts by:

  •    Preventing disease (e.g. give children and youth the best start for a long, healthy life)
  •    Saving lives (e.g. enable faster, better cardiac emergency response and treatment)
  •    Promoting recovery (e.g. enhance support for survivors, families and caregivers)
